Precise UWB-based real time location system

KIO is a precise real time location system (RTLS) for tracking any object in 2D or 3D space. The Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology enables to micro-position objects through obstructions. KIO also works in non-line-of-sight conditions and both indoors and outdoors.

KIO RTLS is suitable for tracking a single object or for building large-scale infrastructures for simultaneous real time positioning of hundreds of objects.


KIO RTLS is built on the Decawave UWB chipset. The communication channel enables to build applications with both connectivity and micro-positioning requirements.

The UWB RTLS comes in two main configurations. The Regular Cell configuration guarantees a reliable accuracy of 30 cm. The Small Cell configuration is designed for location-critical applications and provides reliable 5 cm accuracy.

KIO is both FCC and CE certified and suitable for customisation for different applications.

KIO Evaluation Kit

is a plug and play system for verification and testing. KIO can also be configured to specific customer requirements. The standard open API ensures smooth integration into any proprietary system.

KIO Evaluation Kit – 2000 €

The kit is designed for simple micro-positioning applications of a single object in a positioning space of up to 20x20m. The Kit contains 4 anchors and 1 tag and comes with a Java-based software. The software provides real-time coordinates of the object in 2D and 3D space.
