Ultra Wideband Positioning
Ultra Wideband (UWB) is a wireless technology that uses a wide frequency spectrum and is used to position and track objects in real time. Eliko’s ultra wideband positioning systems offer 5-30 cm accuracy in both indoors and outdoors and enable to get both 2D and 3D data.
UWB has several advantages for building wireless real-time location systems. The technology has low power consumption, high reliability, can penetrate obstacles and has data transmission options.
Eliko has been developing positioning applications for over 10 years focusing on RFID and UWB technologies. Eliko collaborates closely with UWB technology provider Decawave to create reliable systems using the newest algorithms and domain knowledge.
We design and develop custom hard- and software for different and demanding applications, such as industrial manufacturing, sports and robotics. We also help our customers comply with regulations and develop the necessary certifications

Tool Tracking System
The hand tool tracking system uses custom IMUs in combination with Ultra Wideband (UWB) indoor positioning technology to detect the exact position of hand tools. This enables to precisely track workers' activities and improves the quality of manufacturing.More info
We use different data fusion techniques to combine IMU data such as the object’s direction, acceleration with the UWB-based distance measurement data. This improves the positioning accuracy to below 5 cm and gives information about the usage of the hand tool.
The hand tool tracking system is a novel way to ensure that all required assembly steps have been performed. As an example of Industry 4.0, it will be a crucial part of an overall quality assurance in assembly line based manufacturing.
The project developed an automatic parking and payment solution for in- and outdoor parking lots.More info
